Some links to course platforms are affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Any article with an affiliate link says so before the first one, and affiliate links are marked as sponsored in the page code so search engines know what they are.

How we keep it fair

• Whether a company pays a commission never decides whether we cover it, how we score it or where it ranks.
• Every review uses the same published method, and scores come from hands-on testing.
• No company pays to be featured, and no article is sponsored.
• We link to tools with no affiliate program whenever they're the right fit.

Our founder's businesses

The Learning Curve's founder, Jim Lounsbury, also runs CredentialCraft, a course-design studio, and works in educational development at Avondale University. When an article mentions CredentialCraft, it says so at the first mention. CredentialCraft is never ranked or scored against the platforms we review.

AI and images

We use AI tools to help research and draft. Every article is reviewed and approved by a person before it's published. Documentary-style photographs are AI-generated illustrations, and are credited that way under each image. Research excerpts and charts are built from the cited studies, never generated.

Your email address

The monthly newsletter is sent with Beehiiv, which stores subscribers' email addresses on our behalf. We use your address only to send the newsletter, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you tick the optional CredentialCraft box when you subscribe, we also pass your email address to CredentialCraft, the course-design studio run by our founder, so it can send you occasional updates. You can unsubscribe from those separately at any time. If you don't tick the box, your address stays with the newsletter.

We never sell or rent email addresses.
